  1.        How to obtain updates to the DOS shareware version over the net:

  3. Updates to F-PROT consist of three distinct files.
  4.  
  5.    fp-xxx.zip   This file is updated as necessary, maybe every one or two
  6.                 months.  It contains the DOS version of F-PROT and the
  7.                 current virus definition files.
  8.  
  9.    fp-def.zip   Contains the latest SIGN.DEF and SIGN2.DEF
  10.  
  11.    macrdef2.zip Contains the latest MACRO.DEF
  12.  
  13.                 The .DEF update files are updated more frequently than the
  14.                 program itself.  At the moment, they are only available
  15.                 directly from us (ftp.f-prot.com), and any site that
  16.                 mirrors our FTP site, but that may change soon.
  17.  
  18. If you have FTP access, you can always get the current version of F-PROT by
  19. anonymous FTP from a number of sites.  Our primary method of distribution
  20. is through Simtel and Garbo, and all "mirrors" of those sites should always
  21. carry an up-to-date version of F-PROT.
